Aliso Viejo Gets New Pond

TRU Landscape Services was rewarded a pond installation project in Aliso Viejo. Aliso Viejo is located in Orange County, California. Aliso Viejo is surrounded by the cities of  Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, and Laguna Niguel. Aliso Viejo has a population of roughly 50,000 people and was Orange Counties 34 city. We enjoy working in Aliso Viejo, especially installing or maintaining ponds. TRU Landscape Services has been installing ponds in Orange County for 25 years. Yes, it’s true we are a landscape company. But ponds are one of our specialty items. We have been trained on many different types of  ponds. One company trained us in Washington state. In Washington they build larger ponds than here in Orange County. Larger ponds are more maintenance than the smaller ones.  Ponds located in a partial sun environment are less maintenance. Benefits of a Pond

Ponds can provide a focal point in your landscape. Ponds provide beautiful sounds to listen too. There are many different plants that can be grown in ponds. There are many different types of ponds. A garden pond is your basic pond, that has a small waterfall and some plants growing in it. These types of ponds are pretty much low maintenance. A fish pond or also called Koi pond has a few different elements than your normal garden pond. The main one being fish.  Fish can be more maintenance, but provide enjoyment to your landscape.  Most fish do great in Orange County ponds.  In other states they have to deal with  ponds freezing over, not so in  our beautiful climate. The newest pond is the pond less type. This pond has some major differences than the other two ponds we mentioned.  First of all it doesn’t have your normal pond. It has a basin that holds the water under the ground. If you were looking at this type of pond, the first thing you would wonder about is where does the water go?  Usually we build a holding reservoir and then cover it with rocks. This type of pond is low maintenance. The water running down the streams and waterfalls usually keeps it clean. This type of pond is safe for the children to play around, since there is no pool of water to fall in. Because these pond don’t require a large amount of area they are great for the smaller yard. These types of ponds provide beautiful sounds.  If you have allot of car traffic these ponds are great for buffering out all the noise from the cars.
