TRU Landscape Services just finished a block wall in Huntington Beach. This project was to remove a tree that had cracked the block wall and replace the section of the wall that was cracked. After the crew set up to remove the tree the supervisor had a brief safety meeting with the crew. These meetings are to go over certain problems that might arise. This tree had cables running through it, so the supervisor wanted to make sure the crew knew how to remove the tree without damaging the cables. Once the meeting was complete the crew started removing the tree. The tree took them a day and a half to remove. They finished without a problem.

Orange County Block Wall

After removing the tree, our hardscape crew showed up and removed the old cracked block wall. The wall was cracked by the tree lifting the wall. We also found roots growing inside of the wall. The old school way of  building blocks was that they didn’t install concrete into the columns. This allowed the rain water and morning dew to run inside of the wall. The roots then found the water and grew until there was no more room. The wall would eventually cracked. Which is what happened for this customer. This wall took us a day to remove and replace.
