The Value of a Mentor and the Payoff of Investing in Your Employees – Zach’s Story

Don’t let the stereo typical construction worker apply to this man. Yes those are his degrees on the wall!

AA in Liberal Arts (SCC)

Bachelor Degree in criminal justice (CSUF)

Construction Management degree (RCC)

General Contractor B license

C-27 Landscape License

ICPI Certified

Zach was groomed his entire life to run a construction company. I would love to take the credit but he has always excelled at learning and improving the business. His work ethic runs circles around his generation. When I first brought him on, I had friends that grew up with me and saw all of the manual labor that I did and they question why I didn’t make him start with a shovel? But I always felt like he was learning the management part of the business.

Let’s face the facts Mike Trout hits the home runs. The manger puts the right players around him to be successful. The last few years he has taken his customer service skills to the next level.

I introduced Zach to a Church friend that owns a corporation with over 300 employees and he told Zach “I would love to see a construction management degree” and the next day he went back to college and finished the degree.

We recently had a very mature city inspector ask his age and the inspector said he has never met a 30 year old with as much construction knowledge as Zach has. When you deal with Zach he gives you 100% at all times!!
