Orange County Landscape Lighting

TRU Landscape recently went out to Anaheim Hills in Orange County, California. We performed a night demo for our customers. We arrived at 7:15pm to set up the lights. After some help from our lighting salesman, we had all of the LED lights ready to go. We like to bring our light salesman with us on night demos. This way the customer can see we deal with the best light manufacture company in Orange County. We had the new LED spot lights shining up on some Queen Palms. The customer loved the light from the new LED lights. The days of that cool blue colored light is gone. The new LED burns hotter to give off the same light as the traditional incandescent lights. The great thing is they use 80 to 90% less electricity to light up the same Palm tree.

These customers had a couple of questions about the new LED lights. One of the questions was: Are LEDs reliable? LEDs have a rated life based on the time it takes for the light out-put to decrease to 70% of the original output, which is typically about 50,000 hours or 17 years of normal residential use. Unlike an incandescent lamp, LEDs include no filament, so they do not “burn out”; they gradually decrease in their light output, beginning many years after the initial installation. This makes these lights great for those hard to install areas, like trees. TRU Landscape has installed many landscape lighting projects in Orange County. Synthetic Turf is Installed at Tustin Church

Tustin Synthetic Turf Job

Tru Landscape received a call this week from a church school located in Tustin, California. They needed their playground re-landscaped. We installed synthetic grass and concrete walkways.

Tustin California is located in Orange County California and is surrounded by the cities of Orange, Santa Ana, Tustin Ranch, and Irvine. Our customer needed a new playground that included synthetic grass (also known as synthetic turf), new deck construction, and hardscape concrete work as well. The project took approximately 10 days to complete and came out looking great!

About Our Synthetic Turf Project

Tru Landscape showed up to the job at about 8:00 am during the week while the church is fairly quiet. We started by removing 4″ of top soil with our bobcats and hauled it away to the landfill. Next, we installed decomposed granite, achieving a 90 % compaction rate. This is important for the synthetic turf’s longevity. Next we installed a landscape fabric that is used to keep weeds out of the new synthetic turf areas. After this we installed a plastic border that is used to hold the synthetic turf in place in high traffic areas. Next we installed a 3″ Concrete for the base that supports the landscape pavers (landscape tiles). The next process involved us installing our pavers (landscape tiles) on top of the base concrete surface. Next we installed Trex decking for the deck portions of the project. We like to use Trex because it’s a composite material that last for a very long time. Lastly we installed the new synthetic grass which carries an eight year manufacturer warranty. Lastly the equipment was installed and the trees were planted. Lastly, we cleaned all of the project areas.

TRU Landscape went out to a Town home today in Orange County, California for a estimate on Synthetic Turf. When arriving, our customer stated that there was no back yard access. We told them it was no problem. We have installed many Synthetic Turf jobs by working threw the house. It takes a little longer to perform our job, But it can be done. This Synthetic Grass turned out to be a Putting green. A back yard that has no accesses is a perfect application for a Putting Green. Putting Greens are easy maintenance. Putting Green Install

Many people do not know that you can install a Synthetic Putting Green in their yards instead of regular Synthetic Grass. The price difference depends on allot of factors. Putting Greens give the serous Golfer a place to practice or a place for kids to play.
