Orange County’s Premier Landscape Contractor
For 40+ years, TRU has designed and built Orange County’s finest backyards. Custom swimming pools, patio covers, outdoor living and ADUs, all by one licensed, in-house design-build team.
Orange County’s design-build firm
One licensed builder for the entire backyard.
Most backyards get passed between a pool company, a concrete guy, a framer and a handyman. TRU designs and builds it all with our own crews, the way Tobi Ulemek has since 1982.
- Pools, patio covers, hardscape, outdoor living and ADUs under one roof
- Licensed C-27 and General Building (B), and bonded
- Free, no-pressure on-site design consultation

Reviews
Loved by Orange County homeowners
“Exceptional craftsmanship, management, and overall experience... Zach and his team delivered on-time, on-budget, and with the professionalism and quality you hope for.
Tru was one of 5 contractors to bid our backyard remodel, we were impressed by Zach’s knowledge and more importantly his ability to listen as much as he spoke. From the beginning he was a great partner giving feedback on our plans and steering us both towards and away from features with our goals in mind.
The TRU team was professional in every aspect. Arrived early, communicated frequently and clearly, respectful of neighbors, and kept a clean and orderly job site. The quality of work delivered by each of the trades was consistently high, exceeding our expectations.
Zach was at the site multiple times a week to check in on progress and share plans for coming weeks. Again, communication, management, and attention to detail were top notch. The owner of the company stopped by twice as well to check in on progress and chat, its great to see a family run business taking pride in their work and engaging with clients.
Overall we couldn’t be happier with the output and experience, we will use TRU again for future projects.”
“Unbelievable service and quality from start to finish. I interviewed multiple pool contractors to do a full rehab of my pool and build from the ground up a new spa. I did not feel comfortable with anyone until I met with Zack. The knowledge, guidance, and experience is unmatched. Pricing was very reasonable.
This company does what it promises. The quality of the material, and the methods they use are so professional, even the things that you can’t see underground were so neat and tidy. Easy communication throughout the project. Of all the contractors we have used on our home, they have by far surpassed them all.
Most importantly, the finished product was stunning. We love our new pool and spa, and can’t thank the team at Tru Landscape enough for all the great service!”
“I had an incredible experience with Zach and the team at Tru Landscape remodeling my backyard. From start to finish, Zach was extremely communicative, always on site, and made the entire process feel seamless. His crew was respectful, clean, and consistently here every day.
This was my first time taking on a project of this size, and they walked me through every stage with so much patience, professionalism, and guidance. The quality of work exceeded my expectations and I truly couldn’t be happier with the final result.
Highly recommend Tru Landscape to anyone looking for a team they can trust!”
“So thrilled with the work Tru Landscape did for us. They transformed our front and backyard quicker than expected. The crew was courteous and cleaned up after themselves each day which was great. Zach was helpful through the whole process and easy to work with. Highly recommend this crew!”
